What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CROFT MEADOW AND CROFT LANE, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Croft Meadow, Chipperfield from its junction with Croft Lane north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Croft Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Chipperfield Public Footpath No.013 south eastwards to its junction with Croft End Road, a distance of approximately 158m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEGGARS LANE, ALDBURY AND GREEN LANE, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. that length of Beggars Lane, Aldbury from its junction with Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m.
An alternative route will be via Station Road, B4635 London Road, A4251 Tring Road, New Ground Road and Beggars Lane.
2. that length of Green Lane, Flamstead from its junction with Flamstead UUCR No.1 (Green Lane) south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Gaddesden Lane, a distance of approximately 200m.
An alternative route will be via Flamstead UUCR No.1 (Green Lane), Puddephats Lane, Markyate Street Lane, Gaddesden Row, Gaddesden Lane and Green Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN FOX ROAD, WIGGINTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fox Road, Wigginton from its junction with The Twist north eastwards and northwards to its junction with A41 Interchange Tring, a distance of approximately 71m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Fox Road, Vicarage Road, Hemp Lane, A4251 Tring Road and A41 Interchange Tring. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OLD HOUSE ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old House Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Adeyfield Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Broadfield Road, a distance of approximately 305m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Adeyfield Road, Longlands and Broadfield Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHIPPERFIELD ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chipperfield Road, Kings Langley from its junction with Love Lane south westwards to its junction with Langley Road, a distance of approximately 1340m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Vicarage Lane, A4251 (Hempstead Road/London Road), B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill, Chapel Croft and Langley Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PICCOTTS END, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Piccotts End, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Dodds Lane south eastwards to its junction with Riverbank, a distance of approximately 114m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Piccotts End Road, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 Link Road and Piccotts End Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VICARAGE LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Vicarage Lane, Kings Langley from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.42 Vicarage Lane north westwards to a point in line with the western boundary of No.46 Vicarage Lane, a distance of approximately 28m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Vicarage Lane, A4251 (Hempstead Road/London Road), B4505 (Box Lane/ Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill, Chapel Croft, Langley Road, Chipperfield Road and Vicarage Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF NO.12 GRAVEL LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the west side of No.12 Gravel Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its northernmost junction with Gravel Lane south eastwards to its southernmost junction with Gravel Lane, a distance of approximately 154m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south, west and north sides of Gravel Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN PEARTREE ROAD AND GRASSY CLOSE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Peartree Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Boxted Road north eastwards to its junction with Peartree Close, a distance of approximately 115 m.
An alternative route will be via Boxted Road, Warners End Road, Spring Lane and Peartree Road.
2. that length of Grassy Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Peartree Road northwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROUGHDOWN ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length ofRoughdown Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south westwards to its junction with Roughdown Avenue, a distance of approximately 254m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, Felden Lane and Hemel Hempstead Byway Open to All Traffic No.101. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
