DERBY ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT:

  • Road closed to all vehicles and
  • No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE: Derby Road –

  • Northern closure – from its junction with Christchurch Road (A35) for a distance of approx. 30m in a northerly direction
  • Southern closure – from its junction with Christchurch Road (A35) for a distance of approx. 30m in a southerly direction

WHEN: Anticipated dates 24th March 2025 until 18th April 2025

WHY: To facilitate highway improvement works by Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained and access to properties will be maintained depending on site safety

DIVERSION:

  • Northern closure – exit Derby Road via remainder of Derby Road, Knyveton Road, St Swithin’s Road and Christchurch Road and enter Derby Road via Christchurch Road, Knyveton Road, Derby Road
  • Southern closure – via remainder Derby Road, Manor Road, Christchurch Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
