What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B3109 (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Frome Road to its junction with Kennet Gardens to enable Openreach to carry out cabling, desilting and associated works. Alternative route via B3109 (unaffected length) - A363 - A366 - B3109 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 03:00 for 1 night. For further information please contact Sunbelt Rentals Ltd on behalf of Openreach on 03700 500 792. b) C245 (Part), Erlestoke; for a distance of approximately 100m covering the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge examinations and associated works. Alternative route via C245 (unaffected length) - C228 - B3098 - C245 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 for 1 night. C) Glebe Way (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Barn Close for a distance of approximately 24m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out additional ducting works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 05 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. D) Cottles Lane, Winsley; from its junction with C230 to its junction with C391 to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas disconnection and associated works. Alternative route via C230 - C391 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 06 March 2025. E) C280 (Part), Upton Lovell; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out level crossing and associated works. Alternative route via C280 (unaffected length) - C10 - C271 -A36 - C280 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 29 September 2023 will now recommence on 08 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 08:30 for 1 night. Orders A) to D) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order E) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Woolley Street (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Luccombe Quarry for a distance of approximately 75m in a south westerly direction. And to temporarily suspend the existing One-Way Order on Woolley Street, Bradford on Avon to facilitate a diversion for traffic to enable Wessex Water to carry out replacement of manhole cover and frame in the carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via Woolley Street (unaffected length) -B3109 - A363 - B3107 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 03 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 2 days. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 06 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 1 day. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. B) Bridleway 10, Corsley; from its junction with Knapps Gate to its junction with The Stalls to enable Fell over mature trees and chip wood brash, tree felling, timber stacking and brash chipping into articulated lorries/HGVs. Surface work. This Order will come into operation on 03 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 weekdays only until 02 May 2025. Alternative route Footpath 22, Melksham (unaffected length) - A350 - A365 - Footpath 28, Melksham - Footpath 22, Melksham (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 27 March 2025. 2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (B3414, WARMINSTER) (50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
(Both previously advertised as 2024) Notice is hereby given that on 19 February 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Dilton Marsh, Warminster, Bishopstrow and Sutton Veny) (Restricted Roads) Order 2014 and re-enact it in the above Order 1, to revoke The County of Wiltshire (B3414, Warminster) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2014 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on B3414, Warminster - from a point 84 metres north west of its roundabout junction with Roman Way for a distance of 110 metres in a north westerly direction.
3. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - B3414 BATH ROAD, WARMINSTER Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 confirms the installation of a Zebra Crossing on B3414 Bath Road, Warminster with the centre point of the crossing at a point 85 metres northwest of the centre of its roundabout junction with Roman Way.
A copy of Orders 1 and 2 can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 3 March 2025.
