Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
CANTERBURY AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY) (SPEED LIMITS)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT No.13) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order will be to implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in Canterbury:
OLD DOVER ROAD – From its junction with Nackington Road to its junction with New Dover Road.
The Order was made on 6 March 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 March 2025.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

DEAN STREET (DYL) – From a point 13 metres from the western boundary of 129 Dean Street for a distance of 47 metres in a north easterly direction.

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYLs) on the following length of roads in Boxley, Maidstone:-
BELLGROVE COURT – DTL – (1) On north side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) On the south side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 13 metres in north westerly direction. BOXLEY ROAD – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 meters northwest and 10 metres southeast from its junction with Brownelow Copse. BROWNELOW COPSE – DYL – (1) On both sides from its junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On south side to a point 11 metres northeast and to a point 11 metres west from its junction with Cossington Road. COSSINGTON ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Brownelow Copse for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. IMPTON LANE – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 metres north east and 10 metres south west of its junction with Bellgrove Court. WALDERSLADE WOODS – DYL – On north side to a point 15 metres east and 15 meters west from its junction with Wildfell Close. WILDFELL CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Wildfell Close for a distance of 23 metres in a northerly direction.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make the above-named Order

Reduce the existing 30MPH speed limit to 20MPH on the following roads in Borden, Swale:-
BANNISTER HILL, BARN CLOSE, COPPINS LANE, HEARTS DELIGHT, HOMESTEAD VIEW, MOUNTVIEW, THE RISE and THE STREET – For their entire length. BORDENS LANE – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 434 metres in a northly direction. HEARTS DELIGHT ROAD
– From its junctions with Hearts Delight and Wrens Road for a distance of 46 metres in an easterly direction. MUNSGORE LANE – From its junction with School lane for a distance of 50 metres in an westerly direction. PONDS FARM ROAD – From its junctions with The Street and Wises Lane for a distance of 186 metres in an westerly direction. SCHOOL LANE – From its junction with Pond Farm Road for a distance of 743 metres in a northerly direction. STARVE ACRE LANE – From its junctions with Hearts Delight and Bannister Hill for a distance of 42 metres in an easterly direction. WISES LANE – From its junctions with The Street and Ponds Farm Road for a distance of 273 metres in a north easterly direction. WRENS ROAD – From its junction with Hearts Delight Road and Hearts Delight for a distance of 372 metres in a southerly direction.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT No.19) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
The effect of the above named Order will introduce waiting restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) at any time on the following length of roads in Thanet:-
Roads in Margate in the District of Thanet
RAMSGATE ROAD - DYL – (1) On the northeast side outside Lesters install DYLs in the gap between the existing lines. (2) On the north east side outside the Hospice extend the DYLs by 72 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the northeast side remove the bus stop clearway outside the Hospice and relocate 72 metres in a southerly direction to join up with the existing DYLs. (4) On the southwest side outside number 163 and 175 Ramsgate Road join up the existing DYLs with 27 metres of new lines. (5) Outside the entrance to the Hospital extend the existing yellow box markings by 2 metres in a north westerly direction. (6) On the southwest side of the service road from a point 13 metres northwest of its junction with St Andrews Close reduce the single yellow lines by 2 metres in a north westerly direction and replace with DYLs.
The Order was made on 6 March 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 March 2025.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to remove the current parking bay and replace with (DYLs) double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Tunbridge Wells:-
CAMDEN ROAD - DLYs – From the western boundary of 76 Camden Road for a distance of 7.62metres in a north easterly direction to join up with the existing restrictions.
