What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREAS
A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 27th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Queens Road, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, A255 High Street, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 Canterbury Road West, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A299 Thanet Way, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 The Square and A28 Canterbury Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bedlam Court Lane, Ramsgate, CT12 4HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bedlam Court Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Quartacre, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bedlam Court Lane, Foxborough Lane, Tothill Street, High Street, Church Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottage Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottage Road, Ramsgate, on or after 10th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 3 East Cliff Mews, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottage Road, Hibernia Street, Camden Road, Camden Square, La Belle Alliance Square, Plains Of Waterloo, B2054 Wellington Crescent and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Ramsgate, on or after 10th March 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 34A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of King Street and Hardres Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broad Street, Church Hill, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
King Street, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Street, Ramsgate, on or after 10th March 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of B2054 Victoria Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2054 Victoria Road, B2054 Victoria Parade, B2054 Wellington Crescent, Plains Of Waterloo, King Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Northdown Park Road & B2051 Queen Elizabeth Avenue, Margate, CT9 3TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northdown Park Road & B2051 Queen Elizabeth Avenue, Margate, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 28 days or until the works have been completed.
Northdown Park Road will be closed between the junctions of Friendly Close and B2052 Millmead Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Northdown Park Road, B2052 Millmead Road, St Marys Avenue, Laleham Road, Northdown Park Road and vice versa.
B2051 Queen Elizabeth Road will be closed from the junction of Northdown Park Road to outside number 40, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Queen Elizabeth Avenue, Northdown Road, Northumberland Avenue, Northdown Park Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
School Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 80, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Belmont Street, Hardres Street, School Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sowell Street, Broadstairs, CT10 2AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sowell Street, Broadstairs, on or after 10th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, St Peters Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tomlin Drive, Margate, CT9 3XT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tomlin Drive, Margate, on or after 10th March 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Dane Valley Road and Jennifer Gardens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tomlin Drive, William Avenue, Cowley Rise, Dane Valley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Victoria Avenue & Richborough Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Avenue & Richborough Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 68 days or until the works have been completed.
Victoria Avenue will be closed as a rolling closure, once works are completed on one road works will commence on the next, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Victoria Avenue will be closed between the junctions of A28 Canterbury Road and Streete Court Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, Minster Road, Streete Court Road and vice versa.
Victoria Avenue will be closed between the junctions of Streete Court Road and Linden Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Streete Court Road Minster Road, Linden Road and vice versa.
Victoria Avenue will be closed between the junctions of Linden Road and Reculvers Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Linden Road Minster Road, Reculvers Road and vice versa.
The roads will be closed from 3rd May 2025, with estimated completion by 30th May 2025, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Victoria Avenue will be closed from the junction of Reculvers Road to outside number 136.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Victoria Avenue, Linden Road, Belmont Road, Richborough Road and vice versa.
Richborough Road will be closed between the junctions of Minster Road and Victoria Avenue.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Minster Road, Reculvers Road, Victoria Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Victoria Road, Margate, CT9 1SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Margate, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Thanet Road and A255 St Peters Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Thanet Road, Park Crescent Road, Addiscombe Road, A255 St Peters Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
