NOTICE PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 4 PARAGRAPH 1(11)(a) OF SCHEDULE 3 OF THE ORDER FOR CONFIRMATION OF ARTICLE 4(1) DIRECTION REMOVING PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS
NOTICE is hereby given that Spelthorne Borough Council, on 18 February 2025 confirmed a non-immediate Article 4(1) Direction, made on 21st August 2024 under the Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 as amended (“the Order”). The Article 4(1) Direction shall come into force on 29th August 2025.
Description of the area to which the Direction applies
The Direction applies to all those properties as described in the Schedule below, situated within the following Wards:
a) Ashford North & Stanwell South,
b) Staines,
c) Stanwell North
Statement of effect of the Direction
The Direction shall take effect from the date the Direction comes into force. The effect of the Direction is that the permission granted by Article 3 of the GPDO shall not apply to any development set in the Schedule below. This means planning permission will be required from 29th August 2025 onwards to change a dwelling house use to use as a house in multiple occupation.
Date the Direction comes into force
The Article 4(1) Direction shall come into force on 29th August 2025.
SCHEDULE
The permitted development right to convert a dwellinghouse (C3) to a House in Multiple Occupation (C4), being development comprised within Class L(b) of Part 3 of Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) and not being development comprised within any other Class.
