Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
Beaver Road, Victoria Road & Avenue Jacques Faucheux, Ashford. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Beaver Road, Victoria Road & Avenue Jacques Faucheux, Ashford.
This order takes effect on or after 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 2nd May 2025, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or where stated on a valid permits. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works on One.Network and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.
Phase 1
A2042 Beaver Road, Avenue Jacques Faucheux and Victoria Road will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Access to Beaver Road between Victoria Road and South Stour Avenue will be maintained via A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux.
The alternative route for vehicles travelling from A2042 Station Road is via Elwick Road, Godinton Road, West Street, Forge Lane, A292 New Street, Chart Road, Maidstone Road, A28 Simone Weil Roundabout, Templar Way, Chart Road, Great Chart Bypass, B229 Brookfield Road, Beaver Lane, Beaver Road, Norman Road and A2042 Romney Marsh Road.
The alternative route for vehicles travelling from A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux is via A2042 Romney Marsh Road, B229 Norman Road, Beaver Road, Beaver Lane, Brookfield Road, A28 Great Chart Bypass, Chart Road, Templar Way, Simone Weil Roundabout, A292 Maidstone Road, New Street, Forge Lane, West Street, Godinton Road and Elwick Road. Access to Victoria Road will be maintained via B229 Brookfield Road and Leacon Road.
Phase 2
A2042 Beaver Road and Avenue Jacques Faucheux will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Access to Victoria Road and Beaver Road (between Victoria Road and South Stour Avenue) will be maintained via A2042 Beaver Road. Temporary traffic lights will be situated at the junction, to control traffic.
The alternative route for vehicles travelling East on A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux is via A2042 Beaver Road, Elwick Road, Godinton Road, West Street, Forge Lane, A292 New Street, Chart Road, Maidstone Road, A28 Simone Weil Roundabout, Templar Way, Chart Road, Great Chart Bypass, B229 Brookfield Road, Beaver Lane, Beaver Road, Norman Road and A2042 Romney Marsh Road.
The alternative route for vehicles travelling West on A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux is via A2042 Romney Marsh Road, B229 Norman Road, Beaver Road, Beaver Lane, Brookfield Road, A28 Great Chart Bypass, Chart Road, Templar Way, Simone Weil Roundabout, A292 Maidstone Road, New Street, Forge Lane, West Street, Godinton Road and Elwick Road.
Bethersden Road, Woodchurch. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Woodchurch, from 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 12th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The White Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bethersden Road, Redbrook Street, Plurenden Road, Bethersden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bower Road, Smeeth, TN25 6SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bower Road, Smeeth, from 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 11th March 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wembdon Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bower Road, The Street, A20 Hythe Road, Station Road, Bower Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bower Road, Smeeth & Mersham, TN25 6NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bower Road, Smeeth & Mersham, from 11th March 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Cherry Glebe, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bower Road, The Street, A20 Hythe Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, TN26 1LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, from 11th March 2025, with estimated completion by 13th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hillcrest, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Lane, Woodchurch Road, Hornash Lane, Bromley Green Road, Capel Road, Hamstreet Road, Birchett Lane and Longrope.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Road, Stone, TN30 7JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Stone, from 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 12th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Tilmenden, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, The Street, Catts Hill, Top Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Coldblow, Woodchurch. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow cover and frame works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Coldblow, Woodchurch, from 11th March 2025, with estimated completion by 13th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of May Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shadoxhurst Road, Spot House Lane, Place Lane, Lower Road, Front Road, B2067 Brook Street, Kenardington Road, Warehorne Road, Malthouse Lane, Woodchurch Road, Coldblow and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Kenardington Road, Appledore & Appledore Road, Kenardington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kenardington Road, Appledore & Appledore Road, Kenardington, from 12th March 2025, with estimated completion by 13th March 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Sly Corner and Snargate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2067 Warehorne Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, Appledore Road, Bench Hill, Woodchurch Road, Kenardington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Manor Pound Lane, Brabourne, TN25 5LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Manor Pound Lane, Brabourne, from 26th March 2025, with estimated completion by 27th March 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Luxway and Meadowsweet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Manor Pound Lane, Lees Road, Bridge Road, Plain Road, Canterbury Road and Manor Pound Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Purchase Lane, Great Chart, TN26 1JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Purchase Lane, Great Chart, from 28th March 2025, with estimated completion by 31st March 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Goldwell Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Purchase Lane, Daniels Water, Vitters Oak Lane and Goldwell Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Rose Hill, Stone. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rose Hill, Stone, from 24th March 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Upper Stone House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ebony Road, Acton Lane, B2082 Stocks Lane, Rose Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandyhurst Lane, Boughton Aluph, TN25 4QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandyhurst Lane, Boughton Aluph, from 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 15th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 366 and 358, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandyhurst Lane, A20 Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout, A28 Simone Weil Roundabout, Simone Weil Avenue, A2042 Canterbury Road, A251 Faversham Road, Sandyhurst Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sparrow Hatch Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sparrow Hatch Lane, Bethersden, from 10th March 2025, with estimated completion by 14th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Lodge, Dowle Street Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sparrow Hatch Lane, Dowle Street Road, Station Road, Malmains Road and Surrenden Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Stonebridge Green Road, Charing, TN27 9AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stonebridge Green Road, Charing, from 12th March 2025, with estimated completion by 14th March 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coach Road, Egerton Road, Field Mill Road, Stonebridge Green Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Martins, High Halden, TN26 3LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2025
To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Martins, High Halden, from 30th March 2025, with estimated completion by 9th April 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
