Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a temporary speed restriction of 10 MPH over an area of highway being A39 Between Dipper Lane And Brentspool Hill, Kilkhampton, Bude bertween property number 22 New Cottages and property known as Rose Cottage for approximately 73 metres. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because new water connection works are being executed on or near the road.

The Order will come into operation on 30th March 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 4th April 2025. The restriction will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

(B3254 Between Slate Quarry Hill And Tiny Meadows, Launceston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 31st March 2025 to 1st April 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - 83254 Between Slate Quarry Hill And Tiny Meadows, Launceston between the junction of Tregaller Lane and property known as Perowene.

This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 17th March 2025, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1430, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Tamerton Hill To The Grove, Launceston between properties The Old Smithy and Hornacott Cross Farm and Road From Hornacott Farm To Tala Hill, Holsworthy between property Hornacott Cross Farm and the junction Access to Alvacott.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 3rd March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Holsworthy. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 18th March 2025 to 19th March 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 15830, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Tamerton Hill To The Grove, Holsworthy between the junctions with Tamerton Hill and Access to Ogbeare.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Stopping) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 31st March 2025 to 5th April 2025.

Roads subject to prohibition - Tavistock Road between the junctions with Race Hill and Exeter Street, A388 Between Dockacre Road And Polson Bridge between the junctions with Kensey Valley Meadow and Ridgegrove Hill and Exeter Street, Dockacre Road and Wooda Road for their entire lengths, Launceston.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned lengths of road in Launceston. Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of the Order it may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site.

Roads subject to stopping prohibition - A388 Between Dockacre Road And Polson Bridge between grid reference SX 33528 84570 and the junction with Ridgegrove Hill, Exeter Street between the junction with Tavistock Road and property number 24, Tavistock Road between the junction with Exeter Street and property The Scout Hut, Launceston.

The prohibitions will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekends included.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for safety inspection works of redundant rail bridge and it is expected that the closure will be from 1st April 2025, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Treglith To Treneglos, Treneglos, Launceston between grid references SX 20947 88472 and SX 20911 88431.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 4th April 2025, or one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Trosswell Road To Canworthy Water, Canworthy Water, Launceston between grid reference SX 22404 91774 and the junction with Troswell Road.

This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and

it is expected that the closure will be from 19th March 2025 to 19th March 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Week Green To Highmoor, Holsworthy between properties known as Trecarrell and Stonyfold Farm.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Traffic Restriction, Stopping and One-Way Suspension Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 3rd March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Windmill Hill and Road From Dunheved Road To Windmill Hill for their entire lengths, Launceston.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one-way order The County of Cornwall (Launceston) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Madford Lane (Unclassified) - from a point 27 yards south-west of its junction with Race Hill to its junction with Windmill Hill - for its entire length.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned length(s) of road in Launceston. Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of the Order it may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site.

Road(s) subject to stopping prohibition - Madford Lane, Launceston for its entire length.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to resurface junction areas.

The Order will come into operation on 19th March 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 29th March 2025. The prohibitions will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600 on a daily basis, weekends included.

Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, school buses, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
