1. (OXFORD AREA - VARIOUS STREETS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20** 2. (OXFORD, DONNINGTON AREA) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make variation orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders is to slightly amend existing 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow line) parking prohibitions in order to facilitate the introduction of 'Side Road Entry Treatments' (SRETs) improvements under the Highways Act 1980 as part of the 'Safer Roads' project - affecting the A4165 Banbury Road & A4158 Iffley Road in Oxford as follows: A4165 Banbury Road - The following junctions are to be amended with 85mm high platforms, and 1:10 ramp gradients:
- Belbroughton Road,
- Rawlinson Road,
- Bevington Road.
- Linton Road,
- Norham Road, and
St. Margarets Road junction is to be amended with a 75mm high platform, and 1:15 ramp gradient to take into account the existing bus route.
A4158 Iffley Road - The following junctions are to be amended with 85mm high platforms, and 1:10 ramp gradients:
- Radcliffe Road - with existing Double Yellow Lines (DYLs) west of Iffley Road to be extended on the southern side, westwards by an additional 6.5 metres,
- Iffley Turn,
- Westbury Crescent - with existing DYLs east of the A4158 to be extended on the northern side, eastwards for an additional 8 metres, and
- Courtland Road (North & South).
Cornwallis Road junction is to be amended with a 75mm high platform, and 1:15 ramp gradient, to take into account the existing bus route.
All features will continue existing DYLs & resurfaced footways across the side-road junctions, encompass 'Dutch-style' kerbs, and incorporate Rain Gardens to aid highway drainage. The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Area - Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Permitted Parking) Order 2022, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Donnington Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2023 will be further amended as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 28 March 2025. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (NORTH OXFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order - to help facilitate free movement of traffic in the immediate vicinity - is to move the existing 'Permit Holders Only 8:00am - 6:30pm Monday - Saturday' parking places outside Nos.27 & 33 Frenchay Road, from being located wholly on the carriageway to being located partly on the adjacent footway.
The Oxfordshire County Council (North Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2004 will be further amended as necessary. (OXFORD, IFFLEY) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The proposal introduces a new parking restriction within the newly implemented Iffley Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) following consideration of options for potential longer stay parking. These updated proposals correct an error on those previously advertised, and will introduce general 'Four Hour Parking Places 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Sunday With No Return Within 2 Hours' parking bays (permit holders will not be exempt) with space for approx. 6 vehicles, as follows:
1. Church Way (East side) - southwards from the existing 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow lines) opposite No.122, for a distance of 20 metres,
2. Mill Lane (South side) - eastwards from the existing double yellow lines adjacent to the Church, for a distance of 10 metres.
Additionally, an administrative amendment (i.e. no change to existing provision) will be made to the existing Order, to confirm that all properties in Abberbury Avenue are eligible to apply for both resident & resident visitors parking permits. The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Iffley) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2025 will be amended as necessary.
