What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Whittlesey Road, March Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-230 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whittlesey Road, March as lies between Australia Farm & the level crossing. The alternative route for vehicles is via Whittlesey Rd; A141; A605; March Rd, Turves & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

Ramsey Road B1040, Whittlesey Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-249 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramsey Road B1040, Whittlesey as lies between Richley Farm & the level crossing. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; A605; B1095; B1040 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway defect repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

Wype Road, Eastrea Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-252 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wype Road, Eastrea as lies between No.186 & Lake Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wype Rd; B1093; A605 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

Upwell Road B1099, March Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-265 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Upwell Road B1099, March as lies between Trinity Farm & Bedlam Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1099; B1098; A142; B1101; B1099 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/9/25 whichever is the earlier.

Whittlesey Road, March Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-266 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whittlesey Road, March as lies between Glenthorn & Clovelly. The alternative route for vehicles is via Whittlesey Rd; A141; A605; March Rd, Turves & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter exchange & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 26/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

Gaul Road, March Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-277 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gaul Road, March as lies between A141 & Ellingham Avenue. The alternative route for vehicles is via Gaul Rd; Burrowmoor Rd; B1101; B1099; A141 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate foul water main, sewer connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 24/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
