M1 Motorway, Junction 23 - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For GPS Surveying Works

THE M1 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 23) (SLIP ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the M1 Motorway, in the County Leicestershire, to enable GPS surveying works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the entry slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the M1 at Junction 23.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 10 March 2025 and continue for one night.
The Order will come into force on 3 March 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via the A512 Ashby Road westbound, the A42 Junction 13, the A511 and the M1 Junction 11 will be signed.
