Northumberland, Temporary Road Closure Due To Patching Works

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) B6318 MILITARY ROAD HOUSESTEADS TO CARROW HAYDON BRIDGE AND B6318 MILITARY ROAD CARROW TO NEW HOUSES HUMSHAUGH (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 6th March 2025 until the 23rd May 2025.

B6318 Military Road Housesteads to Carrow, Haydon Bridge from its junction with B6318 Military Road Carrow to New Houses heading westwards for a distance of 3415 metres.

B6318 Military Road Carrow to New Houses, Humshaugh from its junction with B6318 Military Road Housesteads to Carrow heading eastwards for a distance of 4410 metres.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 6th March 2025 until the 7th March 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 23rd May 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B6318, B630, A69, A6079 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out patching works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
