What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WORKSOP BRIDLEWAY NO.47, RAYTON LANE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council HAS MADE an ORDER, under Sections 14 and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:
To continue the effects of THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WORKSOP BRIDLEWAY NO.47, RAYTON LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) NOTICE 2025.
That Notice came into force on 10th February 2025.
The effects are that: - No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed,
(d) cause any animal to proceed
in the following length of Bridleway at Worksop in the District of Bassetlaw-
WORKSOP BRIDLEWAY NO.47, RAYTON LANE, from its junction with the surfaced public highway by the sewage works, to just beyond Rayton Farm.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there are various alternative routes around the closure.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above highway or highways will apply as follows:-
To 9th August 2025 inclusive.
The Continuation Order will come into force on 3rd March 2025 and any prohibition contained in the continued Order shall apply on that day and on any subsequent day or days when it shall be necessary for the prohibition to apply to enable works to be carried out and the Order shall continue in full force until the works it is proposed to carry out are completed The duration of this Order may be extended with the approval of the relevant Secretary of State.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety while works to install a solar farm take place adjacent to the bridleway.
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 28TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 2025
