Temporary Closing Of Footpath Sacombe 004

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Sacombe 004, heading south from Sacombe Green Road, for an approximate distance of 180m.

Alternative Route: via Sacombe 3 and 6

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Footpath Sacombe 004 will be closed on or after 17 March 2025 for up to 2 weeks, when signs are in place.

Section 53 Of The Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981 Definitive Map And Statement Of Public Rights Of Way In Hertfordshire (Anstey 21) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on 30th January 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Adding to them a footpath commencing from Biggin Hill (public highway) at TL 3875 3308 then NE for approx. 120m to TL 3883 3317 then SE for approx. 280m to meet the Cave Gate to Barkway Road (public highway) at TL 3905 3299

(Temporary Closing Of Newgate street Road, Goffs Oak) Order No.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newgatestreet Road, Goffs Oak from a point 65m south east of its junction with Chiltern Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Newgatestreet Road, Hammondstreet Road, Dig Dag Hill, Longfield Lane, Flamstead End Road, B156 (Flamstead End Road/Churchgate Road) and Newgatestreet Road.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. 

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Church Lane, Wormley) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Wormley from its junction with A1170 High Road north westwards to its junction with White Stubbs Lane, a distance of approximately 2338m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A1170 High Road, A10 Great Cambridge Road, B156 (Halfhide Lane/Brookfield Lane West), Flamstead End Road, Longfield Lane, Dig Dag Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Darnicle Hill, Newgate Street, Newgate Street Village, C54 (unnamed road) and Church Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rowney Lane, Dane End from its junction with Marshalls Lane north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 968m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rowney Lane, Sacombe Green Road, Sacombe Pound, Munden Road, Whitehill and Rowney Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. 

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of B180 Hunsdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B180 Hunsdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 Roydon Road north eastwards and a distance of approximately 90m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B181 (Roydon Road/High Street/Station Road), A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill/London Road/Viaduct Road), B1004 (Bridge Foot/Star Street/Widbury Hill/Ware Road) and B180 (Hunsdon Road/ Widford Road/High Street/Stanstead Road/Hunsdon Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. 

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Vineyard, Ware) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Vineyard, Ware from its junction with Cozens Road south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. 

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Various Roads In Hailey, Hoddesdon, Hertford And Broxbourne) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Hailey Lane, Hailey/Hoddesdon from its junction with Hertford Heath Public Footpath No.015 north eastwards, northwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A1170 Ware Road/Galley Green roundabout, a distance of approximately 925m.

An alternative route will be via Hailey Lane, B1197 (London Road/Hertford Road) and A1170 Ware Road.

2. that length of Beane Road, Hertford from its junction with the A119 Ware Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with Molewood Road, a distance of approximately 303m.

An alternative route will be via A119 North Road, North Road, St Andrew Street, B158 (Old Cross/Cowbridge/Port Hill/Bengeo Street), Cross Road, Duncombe Road, Byde Street, Wellington Street, Nelson Street and Molewood Road.

3. that length of A1170 High Road, Broxbourne from its junction with New Road south westwards to its junction with Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 658m.
 
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Road/High Street/Charlton Way/ Dinant Link Road/Hoddesdon Link Road), A10 (unnamed road/Turnford Link Road) and A1170 High Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Chapel Lane, Letty Green) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chapel Lane, Letty Green from a point in line with the western boundary of No.28 Chapel Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Chapel Lane, Woolmers Lane, Pipers End, 3U185 (unnamed road) and Chapel Lane.

The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Archers Green Lane, Tewin) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Archers Green Lane, Tewin from its junction with Churchfield Road south eastwards to its junction with Grass Warren, a distance of approximately 63m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Churchfield Road, B1000 Hertford Road and Archers Green Lane.

The Order is needed because water main renewal works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C32 (unnamed road), Braughing from a point 200m north east of its junction with A10 (unnamed road) eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via C32 (unnamed road), A10 (unnamed road), B1368 (Buntingford Road/Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End/Hay Street) and C32 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B158 Horns Mill Road, Hertford, B158 Lower Hatfield Road, Essendon/Little Berkhamsted and B158 (unnamed road), Essendon from its junction with Brickendon Lane south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with B1455 Holwell Lane, a distance of approximately 5234m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B158 Horns Mill Road/Bullocks Lane/Pegs Lane/Hale Road), A414 (Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road) and B1455 Holwell Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drakes Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Anchor Close south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

(Temporary Closing Of A119 North Road, Hertford) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A119 North Road, Hertford from its junction with the Beane Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with the B1000 Welwyn Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A119 (North Road/Cross Lane), A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Wadesmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road) and A119 (Hertford Road/High Road/North Road).

The Order is needed because pigeon netting inspection and repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the western boundary of No.12 Hazelfield Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 77m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Rags Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because development works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Various Roads In Buntingford) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Buntingford from its junction with B1038 Baldock Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Norfolk Road, a distance of approximately 351m.

An alternative route will be via B1038 Baldock Road, A10 Buntingford Bypass, Ermine Street and High Street.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Buntingford from its junction with High Street north eastwards to its junction with The Causeway, a distance of approximately 155m.

An alternative route will be via High Street, Vicarage Road, Wyddial Road and Church Street.

3. The existing one way traffic system on Church Street, Buntingford from its junction with High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 140m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Hagsdell Road, Hertford) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hagsdell Road, Hertford from its junction with The Chestnuts north eastwards to its junction with Dellswood Close, a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Hagsdell Road, Queens Road, Hale Road, B158 Hale Road, A414 (Gascoyne Way/London Road), Mangrove Road and Hagsdell Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Wharf Road, Wormley) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wharf Road, Wormley from its junction with A1170 High Road south eastwards to its junction with Lammasmead, a distance of approximately 194m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A1170 High Road, Cozens Lane East and Lammasmead.

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

The Hertfordshire (Various Roads, Sawbridgeworth) (20 Mph Zone) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce a new 20 mph zone in parts of Sawbridgeworth as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 3 March 2025.

The Hertfordshire (A507 Clothall Road, Baldock, Clothall And Rushden, A507 Baldock Road, Rushden, Cottered And Buntingford) (7.5 Tonnes Weight Limit) Order 2023 (Amendment No. 1) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to amend The Hertfordshire (A507 Clothall Road, Baldock, Clothall and Rushden, A507 Baldock Road, Rushden, Cottered and Buntingford) (7.5 Tonnes Weight Limit) Order 2023 so that agricultural vehicles are exempt from the weight limit on that length of the A507 as defined in that Order. The amended Order will come into effect on Friday 28 February 2025.
