What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Blyth Road, Harworth) (40 M.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 2025 (1317)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Harworth in the Bassetlaw District in the County of Nottinghamshire.

1. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule of this Order.

Blyth Road, Harworth From a point 130 metres north-west of its junction with Symmetry Way in a north-westerly direction to a point 449 metres south-east of its junction with Serlby Road. (an approximate distance of 1458m)

(a) The Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP. 

(b) Harworth and Bircotes Library, Scrooby Road, Bircotes, Nottinghamshire, DN11 8AD

Or can be viewed online by visiting the County Council's website (consult.nottinghamshire.gov.uk) Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 28th March 2025. 

If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council's procedures at the appropriate time.

The proposed reduction in speed limit is required in order to fulfil a S278 agreement and make the speed limit more appropriate following the construction of a new development on Mulberry Park, Blyth Road, Harworth.
