ORDER (NO 46) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for ground works preparation to install a new telecoms mast to be carried out as follows:-
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Dewsbury Road, Wakefield inbound bus lane between the VW and BMW car garages. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed lengths of Dewsbury Road inbound bus lane. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: The footway will be closed on both occasions and pedestrians will be diverted via the existing pedestrian crossings either side of the planned works area. ORDER TO BE TEMPORARILY REVOKED: The Council of the City of Wakefield (Traffic Regulation) No. 2 Order 2016 Dewsbury Road, Wakefield where it relates to the inbound bus lane on Dewsbury Road, Wakefield.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd March 2025 to 5th March 2025 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours and again on 17th March 2025 to 18th March 2025 between 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(KEEPER LANE, NOTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 48) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate, locate and repair a damaged/blocked telecoms duct to enable provision of services to properties as part of the fibre to the home scheme to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Keeper Lane, Notton for approximately 200 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Keeper Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, George Lane, Keeper Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd March 2025 to 5th May 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: College Grove Road, Wakefield from Westfield Road to Eastmoor Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of College Grove Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Marsh Way, Jacobs Well Lane, Stanley Road, Eastmoor Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th March 2025 at 09.30 hours to 7th March 2025 at 14.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Queen Elizabeth Drive, Normanton from Wakefield Road to Sunny Bank. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Queen Elizabeth Drive.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Queen Elizabeth Drive, Sunny Bank, Walnut Drive, South Street, Wakefield Road & vice versa. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th March 2025 between 09.30 hours and 15.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out excavation on behalf of Northern Powergrid to upgrade electrical infrastructure to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Marsland Street, Wakefield for approximately 55 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Marsland Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th March 2025 to 21st March 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 61) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out carriageway planing & patching to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Oxford Road, Wakefield full length.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Oxford Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Richmond Road, Kensington Road, Leeds Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th March 2025 at 07.30 hours to 18th March 2025 at 15.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 62) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out high friction surfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ossett Bypass A638, Gawthorpe. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ossett Bypass. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wakefield Road, Dewsbury Road, Leeds Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th March 2025 to 23rd March 2025 20.00 hours to 05.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 55) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow duct laying works to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Haw Park Lane, Wintersett, for approximately 40 meters. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Haw Park Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th March 2025 at 21:00 hours until 19th March 2025 at 06:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow resurfacing and lining works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bradford Road, Wakefield, Bradford Road link road lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bradford Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Bradford Road, Snow Hill View,
Bradford Link Road and vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th March 2025 until 21st March 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(CROSS ROAD, MIDDLESTOWN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 30) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow installation of new surface water sewer and gully connections to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cross Road, Middlestown from its junction with Thornhill Road and New Road to its junction with Butts Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cross Road. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cross Road, Old Road, Green Lane and New Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and access for residents will be maintained where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th February 2025 at 08:00 hours until 7th March 2025 at 18:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
The closure was originally due to be in force until 28th February 2025, however it has become necessary to extend it until the 7th March 2025 as above.
