NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF DERBYSHIRE THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC ALONG
NON-CLASSIFIED HIGHWAY BETWEEN GARNER HOUSE AND HIGHLOW HALL – PARISHES OF OFFERTON AND HIGHLOW AND RESTRICTED BYWAY – PARISH OF HIGHLOW) MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order made on 16 January 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them a Byway Open to All Traffic in the Parish of Offerton from Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 2058 8209) proceeding in a generally south easterly direction, then generally southerly direction, continuing in a generally south easterly direction, turning to a generally south westerly direction to Point B (GR SK 2166 8030). Then continuing in the Parish of Highlow in a generally south easterly direction to Point C (GR SK 2183 8019), then for a short distance in a generally south south easterly direction to Point D (GR SK 2186 8014), a distance of 2725 metres or thereabouts, with a width varying between 3.3 and 17 metres. Also, by adding a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Highlow from the aforementioned Point C (GR SK 2183 8019) proceeding for a short distance in a generally east north easterly direction to Point E (GR SK 2193 8023), a distance of 105 metres or thereabouts with a width varying between 3.2 and 7.2 metres, as shown on the Order map.

not later than 10 April 2025, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Derbyshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
