What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Tan House Lane, Navestock)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tan House Lane, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Sabines Road to its junction with Princes Road a distance of approximately 650m. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th March 2025 for 29 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001396495 – Cadent). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Tan House Lane, Princes Road, Wheelers Lane, Coxtie Green Road, Dytchleys Road, Dytchleys Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Various Footpaths, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.8) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the said lengths of footpaths in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of footpaths for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of footpath only. 

All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 6-month period from 5th March 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. 

The footpaths will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. 

Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chelmsford Road, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 490m east of its junction with Spriggs Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410257965 – Affinity Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, The Green, Nine Ashes Road, Rookery Road, Chelmsford Road Straightening, Ongar Road, Ongar Road West, Highwood Road Roundabout, Highwood Road, The Causeway, Loves Green, Blackmore Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 19th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on that length of road as specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wyatts Green Road, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Swallows Cross Road for a distance of approximately 410m in a north westerly then westerly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th March 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30013695856 – UK Power Networks). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Wyatts Green Road, Mill Lane, Hay Green Lane, Mountnessing Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 19th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
