SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF FLATGATE, HOWDEN
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Flatgate, Howden from its junction with Hopyards Court eastbound for approximately 100 metres commencing 24 March 2025 for the purposes of replacing three manhole frames and covers. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Flatgate, B1230 Bridgegate, B1230 Northolmby Street, B1230 Selby Road, A63 Barnhill Lane, A63 Boothferry Road,
A63 Knedlington Road, A614 Boothferry Road,
A614 Hull Road Roundabout, Hull Road, Asselby CP, Howden CP, Howden Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
