What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED) ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 4 (PART) AND 5 SHOBNALL PARISH
AND NO. 15 (PART) BRANSTON PARISH
TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 29/8/23 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Public Footpaths:

– Public Footpath No. 4 Shobnall Parish, 100 metres from its junction with Shobnall Road for approximately 103 metres in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 5 Shobnall Parish.

– Public Footpath No. 5 Shobnall Parish its entire length, approximately 281 metres in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 15 Branston Parish.

– Public Footpath No. 15 Branston Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 5 Shobnall Parish for approximately 110 metres in a southwesterly direction.

No alternative route is available.

A plan has been displayed on site to show length of public footpath to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order came into operation on 31/8/23 and has been extended for a further period of twelve months, until 28/2/26 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 25/2/25 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:

Parkway & A5121 Branston Roundabout at A38 Junction, Burton-on-Trent. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=141420879.

The Order will come into operation on 3/3/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 29/3/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the improvement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
