What is happening?

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING) (TTO 2320)

ORDER 2025 (CHICHESTER ROAD)

Notice is given that the Southend-on-Sea City Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has Proposed to make the above Order. The effect of the Order will be as follows:

Marlborough Ltd on behalf of Southend-on-Sea City Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works at the locations stated in Table 1 of this Notice. The effect of the Order will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of parking and traffic (including waiting, loading and unloading) at the locations listed in Table 1 to this Notice.

The Order and prohibitions will come into effect on 5th March 2025 works are expected to be complete 7th March 2025 however, the Order may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier and will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs.

Access for emergency vehicles, vehicles being used in connection with the works, will be maintained during the closure.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
