What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE AND MALLING
Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe ME19 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas main decommissioning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Leney’s Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Lane, Taylors Lane, Vigo Hill, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, Trottiscliffe Road, Addington Lane and vice versa.
Baker Street, Burham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Baker Street, Burham, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Church Street, between 08:00 and 20:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Blackmans Lane, Tonbridge, TN11 0AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blackmans Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Poplars. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blackmans Lane, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
King Hill, Kings Hill, ME19 4PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway development works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Hill, Kings Hill, on or after 6th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A228 Roundabout and Orwell Spike, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street, St Leonards Street, King Hill and vice versa.
Old Terrys Lodge Road, West Kingsdown (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Terrys Lodge Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Old Terrys Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Terrys Lodge Road, Pilgrims Way, Kemsing Road, Exedown Road, Old Terrys Lodge Road and vice versa.
Ryarsh Lane, West Malling ME19 6QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ryarsh Lane, West Malling, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of King Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Scott Close, Ditton ME20 6AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scott Close, Ditton, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 52, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Scott Close and vice versa.
Silverhurst Drive, Tonbridge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Silverhurst Drive, Tonbridge, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside 44 to 58. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Silverhurst Drive, Hazel Shaw, St Bernards Road, Silverhurst Drive and vice versa.
Springfield Road & Lunsford Lane, Leybourne ME20 6FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new gas main installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Springfield Road & Lunsford Lane, Leybourne, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 82 days or until the works have been completed.
Springfield Road will be closed between the junctions of Lunsford Lane and Brook Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Lunsford Lane will be closed from the junction of Brook Road to outside 237. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Springfield Road through traffic is via Springfield Road, Lunsford Lane, Brook Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any Lunsford Lane through traffic is via Lunsford Lane, A20 London Road, New Hythe Lane, Leybourne Way, Lunsford Lane and vice versa.
Teston Road, Wateringbury ME18 5BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teston Road, Wateringbury, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Red Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be mainatined when it is safe to do so.
Water Lane, West Malling ME19 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, West Malling, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of High Street and the electric substation. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Swan Street, Lavenders Road, Water Lane and vice versa.
