Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
A255 St Peters Road, Margate, CT9 4HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 St Peters Road, Margate, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 3 Drapers Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 St Peters Road, B2052 College Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, Poorhole Lane, A256 Westwood Road, A255 Dane Court Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Beresford Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beresford Road, Ramsgate, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Marlborough Road and Elms Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marlborough Road, Carlton Avenue, Elms Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Carroways Place, Margate, CT9 4GA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Carroways Place, Margate, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 1 to outside number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapel Place, Ramsgate, CT11 9RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Place, Ramsgate, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of 102 High Street. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Cannon Road, Elms Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cornwall Gardens, Margate, CT9 2LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cornwall Gardens, Margate, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2051 Eastern Esplanade and Lonsdale Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Eastern Esplanade, Devonshire Gardens, Lonsdale Avenue, Cornwall Gardens and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ethelbert Road, Margate, CT9 1RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ethelbert Road, Margate, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 15. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Ethelbert Terrace, Athelstan Road, Northdown Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Fort Road, Margate, CT9 1EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF PARKING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fort Road, Margate, on or after 3rd March 2025 or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Fort Road will be closed between the junctions of Cobbs Place and King Street.
A prohibition of parking will be imposed on part of Fort Road, between the junctions of Cobbs Place and King Street.
Fort Road will have suspension of one-way imposed the entire length.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Fort Hill, B2051 Fort Crescent, Trinity Square, B2055 Trinity Square, B2055 Hawley Street, King Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Potten Street, Birchington, CT7 0QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Potten Street, Birchington, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Potten Street Road for approximately 60m Northwards, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Prestedge Avenue, Ramsgate, CT11 7BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Prestedge Avenue, Ramsgate, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 93, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Princes Street, Margate, CT9 1QS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Princes Street, Margate, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Addington Street to outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2055 Cecil Street, Hawley Square, Addington Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Prospect Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Prospect Road, Broadstairs, on or after 5th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Nash Gardens and Thanet Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Prospect Road, Prospect Place, Thanet Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Station Road, Birchington, CT7 9AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Birchington, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 11, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, Alpha Road, Epple Road, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Westbury Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow vegetation clearance to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westbury Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Mildreds Road, A28 Canterbury Road, The Grove and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
