What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Old Cross Keys.
The alternative route is via Hopgarden Lane, Grassy Lane, Oak Lane and vice versa.
Castle Hill, Hartley. DA3 7BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole testing, tree cutting and overhead works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Hill, Hartley, on or after 20th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Hurstgrove and Oakfield.
The alternative route is via Castle Hill, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road and vice versa.
Chafford Lane, Fordcombe. TN3 0SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chafford Lane, Fordcombe, on or after 21st March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the river to entrance to The Drive.
The alternative route is via Chafford Lane, B2188 Spring Hill, Sandfield Road, Walters Green Road and vice versa.
Church Road, Hartley, DA3 8DY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Hartley, on or after 5th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hartley Hill Cottage.
The alternative route is via Hartley Hill, Hartley Bottom Road, Grange Lane and vice versa.
Crownfields, Sevenoaks. TN13 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORAY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crownfields, Sevenoaks, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 8.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Hampkins Hill Road, Chiddingstone. TN13 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hampkins Hill Road, Chiddingstone, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Coneyearth and Chested Farm.
The alternative route is via Hampkins Hill Road, The Village, Mill Lane, B2027 Chequers Hill/Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Hever Road, Hever, TN8 7NP (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit traffic to 30mph on part of Hever Road, Hever, on or after 6th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The 30mph speed limit will be in place between the entrance to Hever Hotel and 3 Lodge Wood Cottages.
High Street, Shoreham. TN14 7TB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To replace a decaying pole, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Shoreham, on or after 20th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44.
The alternative route is via High Street - Shacklands Road - A224 London Road - A224 Polhill - A224 Morants Court Road - London Road - Pilgrims Way West - Twitton Lane - Filston Lane - High Street and vice versa.
Malthouse Road, Stanstead. TN15 7ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Malthouse Road, Stanstead, on or after 21st March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Pease Hill and Malt House Cottage.
The alternative route is via Malthouse Road, Stansted Hill, Fairseat Lane, Haven Hill, Pease Hill and vice versa.
Uckfield Lane, Hever, TN8 7LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uckfield Lane, Hever, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Hever Grange.
The alternative route is via Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill/Hartfield Road/Mill Hill, Hever Road, Uckfield Lane and vice versa.
Spode Lane, Cowden. TN8 7HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spode Lane, Cowden, on or after 20th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Willsfield, for approx. 200m in a southerly direction.
The alternative route is via North Street, High Street, Butterwell Hill, B2026 Hartfield Road, Spode Lane and vice versa.
Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Chiddingstone Hoath. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, on or after 19th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Hoath Corner To Oakenden Lane and Truggers Lane.
The alternative route is via Truggers Lane, Hoath Corner, Hoath Corner To Oakenden Lane and vice versa.
Warren Court, Sevenoaks, TN13 1UY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of highway improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Warren Court, Sevenoaks, on or after 4th March 2025 for up to 3 days between 08.30hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Winkhurst Green Road, Ide Hill, TN14 6LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Winkhurst Green Road, Ide Hill, on or after 5th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Lake House.
The alternative route is via Winkhurst Green Road, Scollops, B2042 Ide Hill Road, Coopers Corner, B2027 Chequers Hill, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bore Place Road and vice versa.
