What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A226 East Milton Road, Gravesend, DA12 2TN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of kerbing and bridge works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A226 East Milton Road, Gravesend, on or after 3rd March 2025 until 29th March 2025 between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed March 2025.

The alternative route is via:

From the junction of Ellerslie the diversion is via the A226 East Milton Road, A226 Rochester Road, B261 Old Road East, Parrock Road, Parrock Street A226 Lord Street, A226 Windmill Street, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, A226 Darnley Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane, A226 Harmer Street, A226 Berkley Crescent and the A226 Milton Road.

From the junction of Ordnance Road, the diversion is via the A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, Parrock Street, Parrock Road, B261 Old Road East, A226 Rochester Road and the A226 East Milton Road.

 

Grange Road, Gravesend. DA11 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of lead pipe replacement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grange Road, Gravesend, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Lennox Road and Pelham Road.

The alternative route is via Lennox Road, Pelham Road and vice versa.

 

Hever Court Road, Gravesend. DA12 5TZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow the installation of a new toucan crossing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Court Road, Gravesend, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 6 nights between 20:00 and 06:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 80m east of the Henhurst Road roundabout.

The alternative route is via Valley Drive, B261 Old Road East, Singlewell Road, Hever Court and vice versa.

 

Sun Lane, Gravesend, DA12 5PF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sun Lane, Gravesend, on or after 3rd March 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 28.

The alternative route is via Sun Lane, Whitehill Road and vice versa.

 

Thong Lane, Shorne, DA12 4AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thong Lane, Shorne, on or after 4th March 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Thong House.

The alternative route is via Darnley Lodge Lane, Halfpence Lane, Brewers Road, The Ridgeway, Pear Tree Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A226 Rochester Road, Thong Lane and vice versa.
