Temporary Closure Of 400197 School Lane
(Longhope Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400197 School Lane Road, from its junction with Church Road to outside the property known as ‘Mary’s Cottage’, for a distance of approximately 165 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for broadband and telecommunication installation works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 10th March 2025 until 16:45hrs on 12th March 2025 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Alternative Route no diversion possible, but access will be maintained when required. Emergency access, and pedestrian access to adjacent properties, will be maintained.

Temporary Closure Of 400118 The Ruffit
(Littledean Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400118 The Ruffit Road, from outside the property known as ‘Number 1 Mount Crete’ to outside the property known as ‘Spring Bank’, for a distance of approximately 50 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for electricity apparatus repair and maintenance work. The said road is expected to be closed on 5th March 2025 only or until the works have been completed. Temporary Closure Of 500029 Stowe Lane
(St Briavels Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500029 Stowe Lane Road, from its junction with Coxbury Lane to its junction with Margery Lane, for a distance of approximately 130 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works involving excavations in the road. The said road is expected to be closed from 4th March 2025 until 6th March 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

(Alvington Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C6 3000006, Alvington Village from its junction with Clanna Lane to outside of the property known as ‘Beanhill Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 1100 metres.

The reason for the said closure is to carry out drainage works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 08:30hrs to 15:30hrs from 5th March 2025 to 7th March 2025 or until the works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C354 Road from Church Road to Bradley Cottages from outside of the property known as ‘Bridge Cottage’ to outside of the property known as ‘Bradley House’ for a distance of approximately 1000 metres.

The reason for the said closure is to carry out drainage works to Soudley Bridge The said road is expected to be closed from the 3rd March 2025 until 7th March 2025 inclusive or until the works have been completed. the C66 Gloucester Road from its junction with Forge Lane and 225m South for a distance of approximately 210 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water The said road is expected to be closed from 17th March 2025 until 18th March 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C6 Mill Hill Road from outside the property known as ‘High Meadow’ to outside the property known as ‘Number 1 “The Triangle’ for a distance of approximately 600 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for tree trimming works.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Fly 7
(Lydney Town) Forest Of Dean District

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) Public Footpath FLY 7 from its junction with Grove Road extending in a generally southern direction for approximately 283 metres to its junction with Holms Farm Estate.

The said Public Footpath falls within Lydney in the Forest of Dean District within the County of Gloucestershire

The said closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to unsafe buildings

The said Public Footpath was originally closed for 21 days, by Emergency Notice, commencing 10th October 2024. However, as works to remedy the problem had not been completed it was necessary to close the said Public Footpath by an Order which authorised the closure for up to six months from the date of the original Emergency Notice.

Works are still continuing and therefore the Secretary of State has now granted an extension of the Order until 31st October 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
