TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH)

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that: (i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

MORNINGTON ROAD – from 85m east of its junction with Colman Road for 95m eastwards to facilitate sewer repairs between 19:30 and 23:59 from 4th to 5th March 2025 (may continue until 16th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Mornington Road, Colman Road, Muriel Road, Christchurch Road, Christchurch Road, Muriel Road.

COTMAN ROAD – from its junction with Ranson Road for 15m westwards to facilitate water pipe repair works from 5th to 8th March 2025 (may continue until 19th April 2025). Alternative route is via:

Westbound – Telegraph Lane East, Thorpe Road, Carrow Road, Clarence Road, Cotman Road.

Eastbound route – Cotman Road, Thorpe Road, Cotman Road.

WHITEHALL ROAD – from its junction with Avenue Road for 40m westwards to facilitate electrical connection works from 4th to 5th March 2025 (may continue until 17th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Porterfield Road, College Road.

(ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

GLENMORE GARDENS – from 260m west of its junction with Aylsham Road for 20m westwards to facilitate new water connection works from 25th to 27th February 2025 (may continue until 10th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Glenmore Gardens.

HENLEY ROAD AND SPELMEN ROAD

1) Henley Road from its junction with Spelmen Road for 110m south-westwards and

2) Spelmen Road from 20m northwest of its junction with Henley Road for 40m south-eastwards to facilitate sewer repair works between 19:00 and 23:59 from 26th to 27th February 2025 (may continue until 5th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Grange Road, Christchurch Road, Highland Avenue and Jessop Road.

MAGDALEN STREET

1) Magdalen Street from its junction with Edward Street for 10m northwards and

2) Magdalen Street at its junction with Edward Street to facilitate Norfolk County Council manhole repair works. The road 1) will be temporarily closed and the road 2) will be restricted from turning into Edward Street between 23:00 and 06:00 from 23rd to 24th February 2025 (may continue until the 7th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Magdalen Street, New Botolph Street, Pitt Street, St Crispins Road, Charlton Road, Bull Close Road.

SPAR ROAD – from its junction with Vulcan Road South for 40m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council manhole repair works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 25th to 26th February 2025 (may continue until the 9th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Spar Road, Vulcan Road North, Burton Road.

ST LEONARDS ROAD – from 20m north of its junction with Gas Hill for 60m north-eastwards to facilitate UK Power Network new electrical connection works from 25th to 28th February 2025 (may continue until the 4th April 2025). Alternative route is via: St Leonards Road, Rosary Road, A147 Riverside Road, A147 Bishop Bridge Road, B1140 Ketts Hill, Quebec Road.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may be extended until the end date where necessary or required.

The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where it is earlier or until further notice. If necessary, restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.Full details on the closures/restrictions are available at https://one.network.
