Wilbraham Road - Speed Limit Order 2017
What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council has made the City of Manchester (Speed Limit Order 2017) (Amendment No.3) (Wilbraham Road) Order 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to revoke the 40MPH Speed Limit Order on the following length of road, thereby making it subject to the national Restricted Road Speed Limit of 30MPH:
A6010 Wilbraham Road, from its junction with Wilmslow Road to its junction with Princess Road
The Order was made on 18 February 2025 and will come into operation on 3 March 2025. (The above provision was previously promoted as part of the City of Manchester (Speed Limits) (Various Roads Order 2017) (Amendment No.3) Order 2024 which included lengths of Mancunian Way, Styal Road, Kingsway and Parrs Wood Road for the same speed limit reduction - those changes will now be progressed by way of separate Orders in due course).
A copy of the made Order, the plan and a copy of the Order that is amended may be inspected at Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 18 February 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
