(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable the South Wales Trunk Road Agency to undertake bridge maintenance works.
This Order will come into force on the 3rd March 2025 and shall continue in force for 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is envisaged the works will take 12 weeks to complete.
SCHEDULE
Warren hill will be closed from a point situated approximately 30 metres south of its junction with George Row for a distance of approximately 130 metres along its length in a southerly direction.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via A48, Old Briton Ferry bridge, Brunel Way, Wharf Road, Church Street and George Row.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
