U66B – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U66B near Newtown to Gateside – 03.03.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 03.03.25 for 90 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U66B near Newtown to Gateside.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to road improvements for the new Peterhead SGT Substation. An alternative route is available via the U66B, A90 and vice versa.
