Temporary Road Closure between its Jct. with King Edward Street and its Jct. with Church Street.
Temporary Suspension of One-Way System between its Jct. with King Edward Street and its Jct. with Church Street.
Alternative Route: King Edward Street, Station Road and Church Street.
A515 ST JOHN STREET, ASHBOURNE (10 March to 08 September 2025)
Temporary Road Closure between its Jct. with Church Street / Dig Street and its Jct. with A515 Market Place.
Alternative Route (light through traffic): A515 Station Road, Station Street, Sturston Road, Park Road, Cokayne Avenue, B5035, Brassington Lane, Manystones Lane, Coach Road, B5056, A515 (to point of closure).
Alternative Route (HGV through traffic): A515 Station Road, Clifton Road, A52, A523, A53, A515 (to point of closure) and vice versa.
HALL LANE, ASHBOURNE (10 March to 08 September 2025)
Temporary One-Way System in a northerly direction, between its Jct. with Cokayne Avenue and its Jct. with B5035 King Street.
Temporary Prohibition of Driving (Except for Access, Service and School Buses) between its Jct. with Cokayne Avenue and its Jct. with B5035 King Street.
Alternative Route (local traffic): Cokayne Avenue, B5035 The Green Road / King Street.
A515 MARKET PLACE / BUXTON ROAD, B5035 THE GREEN ROAD / KING STREET AND B5034 & WINDMILL LANE JUNCTIONS, ASHBOURNE (10 March to 08 September 2025)
Temporary 7.5-tonne Environmental Weight Restriction (Except for Access):
A515 Buxton Road / Market Place from a point 100m north of its Jct. with North Avenue / Windmill Lane to its Jct. with A515 St John Street.
B5035 The Green Road / King Street directly west of its Jct. with Cokayne Avenue, in a south-westerly direction to its Jct. with A515 Buxton Road.
B5034 Union Street / North Avenue and Windmill Lane at its Jct. with A515 Buxton Road.
REASON: To facilitate highway improvement works in association with the Ashbourne Reborn project.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected lengths of road.
The roads will re-open / restrictions lifted as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit and/or restrict its use by traffic.
