What is happening?

WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

MINOR parking changes

Waverton Road and Oakshaw Road, Earlsfield

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

    • The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. ) Order 202;
    • The Wandsworth (Earlsfield) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 202;
  2. The general effects of the Orders are detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

  3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

  4. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below (quoting reference W/ECS/TMO2085) within 21 days of the date of this Notice.

SCHEDULE

Beaumont Road

  • The abolition of one existing crossover access and the reinstatement of footway on the southern side of Waverton Road at a point approximately 57m north-east of the Oakshaw Road/Waverton Road junction, and the extension of double yellow lines on the southern side of the carriageway.
  • The abolition of one existing vehicular crossover access and the reinstatement of footway on the western side of Oakshaw Road at a point immediately west of the Oakshaw Road/Waverton Road junction. This will be accompanied by the installation of 18m x 2m of additional controlled parking zone bay space on the southern side of the carriageway in this area.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – VARDENS ROAD SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Vardens Road to facilitate Sewer Cleaning works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Vardens Road from outside number 30 to the rear of 53b. There will be no waiting 09:30 to 15:30.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force, the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 3 March 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 3 March 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – PUTNEY HIGH STREET

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate highway works (“the works”) they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce road closures in the roads detailed in Paragraph 2.

  2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in the following lengths of road:

    • Putney High Street southbound - Putney Bridge to Putney Bridge Road
    • Putney High Street southbound - Putney Bridge to Putney Bridge Road
    • Putney Bridge Road - Brewhouse Lane to Putney High Street
    • Putney High Street northbound - Putney Bridge to Putney Bridge Road
    • Putney Bridge and Lower Richmond Road junction
    • Lower Richmond Road – Putney Embankment to Lower Richmond Road
  3. The Order will come into effect on 24 February 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The works are expected to be completed by 7 March 2025. The restrictions will apply overnight between 9pm and 5am.

  4. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closures will be available via adjacent streets, which will be signed.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
