NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 17 February 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

    a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of: No. 49 Aurelia Road, Croydon, No. 86 Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood, No. 38 Blenheim Park Road, South Croydon, No. 221 Dunsfold Way, New Addington, No. 178 Green Lane, Norbury, No. 18 Hambrook Road, South Norwood, No. 124 Livingstone Road, Thornton Heath, No. 399 London Road, Croydon, No. 18 Norbury Court Road, Norbury

    b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations:

Alton Road, Croydon

Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 381 Purley Way

Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath

Outside No. 270 and partially across the frontage of No. 268 (replaces one space in a partial footway permit/payment bay)

Broom Gardens, Croydon

Adjacent to the footpath leading to 49 to 51 Broom Gardens (bay at 90 degrees to the kerb line)

Coldharbour Road, Croydon

Outside No. 66 and partially across the frontage of No. 64 (extending the existing disabled bay by 1 metre)

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 24 February 2025, and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
  2. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
  2. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Parking Design Section, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/CH/F2 & F3 by 13 March 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

CHERTSEY CRESCENT, NEW ADDINGTON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate delivery vehicle access to a development site, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking in Chertsey Crescent, New Addington.
  2. Whilst the said deliveries are taking place, parking in Chertsey Crescent will be suspended in the locations below and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time":

    a) On the even-numbered side of Chertsey Crescent between its junction with Overbury Crescent and the footpath located between No. 82 and Nos. 56 to 76 Chertsey Crescent.

    b) On the odd-numbered side of Chertsey Crescent in the parking area outside Nos. 125 to 135, Nos. 137 to 153, and Nos. 155 to 177 Chertsey Crescent.

    c) On the odd-numbered side of Chertsey Crescent in the marked parking bays opposite Nos. 94 to 108 Chertsey Crescent.

  3. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    a) Any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 24 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the deliveries will be completed on 27 February 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

UNION ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to a water service pipe on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Union Road.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Union Road will be closed between its northernmost junction with Whitehorse Road (located between Nos. 73 and 75 Whitehorse Road) and the common boundary of Nos. 65 and 67 Union Road.

    b) The permit/payment parking bay on the north side of Union Road, adjacent to the flank wall of Nos. 75 to 77 Whitehorse Road, will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

  3. During the closure, the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.
  4. • Via A212 and A213, Windmill Road.

    • Via A212, A222, and A213, Windmill Road.

    • Via Union Road, A213, Windmill Road, and A212.

  5. The Order will come into operation on 22 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
  6. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    a) Any vehicle involved in conducting the said works.

    b) Any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
