What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST (LBWF)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

THE WALTHAM FOREST (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACE) (E10 ROADS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for carriageway resurfacing works in Trelawn Road and Maud Road, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

The general effect of the Order would be only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose in Trelawn Road E10 and Maud Road E10 – between its junctions with High Road Leyton and a point 30 metres from the said junction (of each road mentioned in paragraph 2 of this notice).

Whilst the restrictions referred to in paragraph 2 of this notice remain in force, and only at such time and to such extents as regulatory signs are displayed, or where applicable, covered:

i) the no-entry restriction in Colville Road; and

ii) the one-way working in Trelawn Road, Colville Road, Maud Road and York Road (the section between Alexandra Road and Maud Road)

would be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 6th March 2025 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT7(25))

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 1 week at each location; however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies.

THE WALTHAM FOREST (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (TRAFFIC CALMING) (E11 ROADS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for traffic calming works in Leyspring Road, Michael Road, and Lister Road to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

The general effect of the Order would be only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose in:

i) Leyspring Road E11 (LPR) –

a) between its junction with Woodville Road and the common boundary of Nos. 50/52 LPR;

b) between its junction with Stanmore Road and the common boundary of Nos. 21/23 LPR;

ii) Lister Road E11 – between its junction with Mornington Road (MOR) and the common boundary of Nos. 56/58;

iii) Michael Road E11 – between its junction with MOR and the rear boundary of No. 84 MOR.

Whilst the restrictions referred to in paragraph 2(i)(a) of this notice remain in force, and only at such time and to such extents as regulatory signs are displayed, the one-way working in Leyspring Road (the section between Woodville Road and Bushwood) would be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 6th March 2025 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT8(25))

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 1 week at each location; however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies.

THE WALTHAM FOREST (FOREST ROAD E17) (CADENT GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 20th February 2025 it made an Order to allow for the replacement of gas mains, by Cadent Gas, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in Forest Road E17.

The general effect of the Order will be only in Forest Road E17, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicular traffic traveling in either direction, eastbound or westbound, from turning right into the gap in the central reservation outside –

a) No. 660 to No. 668 Forest Road; and

b) the westernmost access way (exit) of No. 656a Forest Road.

The Order will come into force on 27th February 2025 and would be valid for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT6(25))

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks, but additional time is required for contingencies.

THE WALTHAM FOREST (LEYTON STATION IMPROVEMENT WORKS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (LANGTHORNE ROAD E11) (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 20th February 2025 it made an Order to facilitate the improvement works of Leyton Station located on High Road Leyton E10.

The general effect of the Order will be only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed to prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding for any purpose, at any time, in Langthorne Road E11 – between its junction with Trelawn Road and a point opposite No. 5 Elmore Road (including the stairway connecting Elmore Road (ER) and Langthorne Road outside No. 67 ER).

The Order will come into force on 20th February 2025 and would be valid for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT5(25))

Vehicles waiting, loading, stopping, or parking in disregard of this Order would be removed.

Any designated controlled parking spaces situated in the roads or parts of roads affected by any of the measures set out above will be suspended.

The restrictions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade, or police purposes (if the works allow).

NOTE: Signage would be placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned roads and footpath, which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
