Old Main Road, Bulcote - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Installation of A Puffin Crossing
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Old Main Road, Bulcote) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (N25-044)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Bulcote in the District of Newark and Sherwood.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Old Main Road, Bulcote - From its junction with A612 Nottingham Road, for a distance of 50 metres in a South Westerly direction.
b. Old Main Road, Bulcote - From its junction with A612 Nottingham Road, for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (At Any Time) in the following length of road.
a. Old Main Road, Bulcote - From its junction with A612 Nottingham Road, for a distance of 50 metres in a South Westerly direction.
b. Old Main Road, Bulcote - From its junction with A612 Nottingham Road, for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 Hours, Monday 24th February 2025 Until 18:00 Hours, Sunday 6th April 2025, Inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Shaftesbury Avenue - A612 Nottingham Road and Vice Versa
b. Old Main Road - A612 Nottingham Road and Vice Versa The Order will come into force on Monday 24th February 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out the installation of a Puffin Crossing, and any other associated works.
