ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 72, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any members of the public from proceeding along:-

Public Right of Way (Footpath) 72 RAM – between Callender Street & Carr Street, Ramsbottom

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate a re-roofing project to Ramsbottom Library

The alternative route will be via Callender Street & Carr Street & vice-versa

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 03/03/25 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months.
