(part))

(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

To protect public safety during construction works, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 12 August 2022 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:

Temporary Footpath Closure

Part of Public Footpath Hailsham 61b will be closed to all users between TQ 6041 0963 and TQ 6040 0944. An alternative route will be available via byway Hailsham 36b and through fields to the east of the closure.

The closure will be in force for 6 months from 22 February 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (U2222 Old Drove, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Old Drove – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 26 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7105 Shepham Lane, Polegate)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Shepham Lane – from the junction with B2247 Pevensey Road to the junction with U7223 Levett Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7223 Levett Road – B2247 Pevensey Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 February and 28 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2163 Hydney Street, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hydney Street – from the junction with A259 Seaside to the junction with U2163 Fairlight Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2163 Fairlight Road – B2106 Beach Road – A259 Seaside and vice versa or A259 Seaside – U2163 Seaford Road – U2163 Fairlight Road.

The Order commences 13 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 and 14 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
