A1(M) Junction 60, Bradbury - Temporary Road Closure due to Works

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 60)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in County Durham, to enable loop cutting works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Thursday 27 February 2025 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A1(M) southbound carriageway between the exit and entry slip roads at Junction 60 (Bradbury), a distance of 1092 metres. During the closures, suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 26 February 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
