A49 Trunk Road, Wilton To Woofferton - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Skid Resistance Works

THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (WILTON TO WOOFFERTON)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A49 Trunk Road, between Wilton and Woofferton in the Counties of Herefordshire and Shropshire, to enable skid resistance works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to impose –
(1) a 30 miles per hour speed restriction on lengths of the A49 between its roundabout junction with the A40, The Pippins and Wilton Road, at Wilton and its junction with the A456, at Woofferton;
(2) a 40 miles per hour speed restriction on lengths of the A49 described in (1) above; and
(3) a 10 miles per hour speed restriction on lengths of the A49 described in (1) above when signs indicating “convoy working” are being displayed.
The work will be carried out between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours and is expected to start on Monday 24 February 2025 and continue for approximately 7 weeks.
The Order will come into force on 23 February 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used for special forces purposes, will be exempt from the speed restrictions.
