Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day between 19 March 2025 and 4 April 2025.

Proposed Order: To close that part of U50100 Albany Terrace from its junction with U50011 York Place to its junction with U50001 Britannia Square.

Reason: Drainage/Work Flood Alleviation by WCC.

Alternative route: U500011 Albany Terrace (part), U50007 Britannia Square, U500009 Britannia Square, U500001 Britannia Square, U500010 Albany Terrace (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 17 March 2025.

(B4202 Pensax, Abberley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of B4202 Pensax from its junction with U64410 Suffolk Lane to its junction with U95612 Pensax.

Reason: Telecommunication works by Openreach.

Alternative route: B4202 Pensax (part), B4202 Worcester Road, B4454 Mamble Road, A456 Mamble, A456 Newnham Bridge, A443 Newnham Bridge, A443 Lindridge, A443 Eardiston, A443 Stockton Road, A443 The Common, Abberley to Wynyatts Way, B4202 Apostles Oak, B4202 Pensax (part) and vice versa.

No access for emergency services, the diversion route must be maintained.

Proposed Order: To close that part of U51022 Vicar Street from its junction with B4550 Astwood Road to its junction with Rainbow Rise (NSG Ref 45001772).

Reason: Telecommunication replacement by Openreach.

Alternative route: U51023 Albany Road, U51306 Tunnel Hill, B4550 Astwood Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 18 March 2025.

(U41018 Shrawley Road, Fernhill Heath) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of U41018 Shrawley Road from its junction with U41027 Westfield Road to its junction with U41008 Station Road.

Reason: Footway resurfacing by WCC.

Alternative route: U41008 Station Road, A38 Droitwich Road, C2138 Dilmore Lane, U41022 Dilmore Avenue, U41027 Westfield Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 12 days. Commencing: 17 March 2025.

(U50110 Arboretum Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of U50110 Arboretum Road from its junction with U50102 Middle Street to its junction with A38 Arboretum Road.

Reason: New customer connection by National Grid.

Alternative route: U50110 Arboretum Road (part), U50109 East Street, U50108 Northfield Street, A38 Sansome Walk.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 19 March 2025.

(Link Footpath F50211 Peterborough Close (side Number 42), Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50211 Peterborough Close (side Number 42) from its junction with U52049 Peterborough Close to its junction with PRWs WR-904 & WR-742 and WR-741.

Reason: The removal of motorcycle inhibitor by WCC.

Alternative route: U52049 Peterborough Close, U52004 Canterbury Road, PRW WR-742 and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days (24hrs). Commencing: 17 March 2025.

Proposed Order: To close that part of Closure 1: Link Footpath F50167 Wilfred Close from its junction with U51038 Merrimans Walk to its junction with U51008 Goodrest Walk. Closure 2: Link Footpath F50169 Merrimans Walk from its junction with Link Footpath F50167 Wilfred Close to its junction with U51002 Bishops Avenue.

Reason: Footpath reconstruction by WCC.

Alternative route:

• Diversion Closure 1: Link Footpath F50167 Wilfred Close – Link Footpath F50168 Virginia Avenue, U51009 Mayfield Avenue, C2294 London Avenue, U51038 Merrimans Walk and vice versa.

• Diversion Closure 2: Link Footpath F50169 Merrimans Walk – U51002 Bishops Avenue, U51005 Wilfred Close, Link Footpath F50167 Wilfred Close and vice versa.

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50557 Wye Close to Kennet Green from its junction with U52072 Kennet Green to its junction with U52025 Wye Close.

Reason: Barrier renewal and bollard installation by WCC.

Alternative route: U52072 Kennet Green, U52065 Williamson Road, Link Footpath F50200 Calder Road, Link Footpath F50201 Tamar Close (No. 2-20), U52042 Tamar Close, Link Footpath F50535 Wye Close to Tamar Close, U52025 Wye Close and vice versa.

Proposed Order: To close that part of U54149 Knight Street from its junction with U54147 Lambert Road to its junction with U54150 Happy Land North.

Reason: Replace telegraph pole by BT.

Alternative route: U54150 Happy Lane North, U54151 Happy Lane West, U54147 Lambert Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 14 March 2025.

(Link Footpath F50206 Mersey Road (between No 37/39) to Medway Road (next to No 108), Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50206 Mersey Road (between No 37/39) to Medway Road (next to No 108) from its junction with U52019 Mersey Road to its junction with U52023 Medway Road.

Reason: Removal of barriers and installation of bollard by WCC.

Alternative route: U52019 Mersey Road, U52017 Humber Road, U52018 Medway Road, Link Footpath F50208 Hamble Close – Medway Road, U52045 Hamble Close, U52023 Medway Road, and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 17 March 2025.

(Link Footpath F50239 Hamble Close (Rear No 17-29), Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50239 Hamble Close (near No. 17-29) from its junction with Link Footpath F50208 Hamble Close to its junction with the Public Rights of Way Footpath WR-906 Worcester for its entire length.

Reason: Removal of barriers by WCC.

Alternative route: Link Footpath F50208 Hamble Close to Medway Road, U52045 Hamble Close, U52023 Medway Road, Link Footpath F50207 Medway Road (side No.105), Public Right of Way Footpath WR-906 Worcester and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 17 March 2025.

Order made: To close that part of U51012 Lansdowne Crescent Lane from its junction with U51013 Lansdowne Crescent to its junction with U51015 Lansdowne Walk.

Reason: Drainage works by WCC.

Order made: To close that part of U47607 Church Lane from its junction with U47606 Walkers Lane to its junction with U47608 School Walk.

Reason: Boundary box repair by Severn Trent Water.

• Anticlockwise Diversion: U47606 Walkers Lane, A4440 Swinesherd Way, A4440 Whittington Road, U47607 Church Lane (part).

• Clockwise Diversion: U47607 Church Lane (part), A4440 Whittington Road, A4440 Swinesherd Way (Northbound), A4440 Nunnery Way, A4440 Swinesherd Way (Southbound), U47606 Walkers Lane.

(U51800 Hastings Drive, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of U51800 Hastings Drive from its junction with U51062 Stafford Avenue to its junction with U51299 Goodrich Avenue.

Reason: New footway construction by WCC.

Alternative route: B4638 Woodbine Drive, B4639 Berkeley Way, U51800 Hastings Drive (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days (24hrs). Commencing: 24 February 2025.

(U53111 Angel Street, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Various Roads, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1977 (Temporary Suspension) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of U53111 Angel Street from its junction with A38 The Foregate to its junction with U53109 Angel Place and to temporarily (part) suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Various Roads, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1977 to allow access to residents and businesses affected by the closure.

Reason: Remedial water works by Severn Trent Water.

Alternative route: A38 Foregate Street, A449 Castle Street, A449 Croft Road, A44 Dolday, B4205 The Butts and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 23 February 2025.

(Link Footpath F50134 Cope Road (between no. 22/23), Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of Link Footpath F50134 Cope Road (between no. 22/23) from its junction with U50302 Cope Road to its junction with A38 Droitwich Road.

Reason: New / Replacement Gas Main.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to enable the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A38 Droitwich Road, C2293 Coombs Road, U50301 Fairbairn Avenue, U50302 Cope Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 26 days (24hrs) commencing from 3 February 2025.

EXEMPTIONS: TO PERMIT ACCESS TO ANY LAND OR PREMISES FRONTING THE HIGHWAY AFFECTED WHERE THERE IS NO OTHER FORM OF ACCESS; AND TO ALLOW THE WORKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)

(Footpaths SE-518 and SE-519, Spetchley)

(Temporary Closure Order 2025)

Order made: To close Footpaths SE-518 and SE-519 for their entire length.

The Order has been made due to an unsafe footbridge over the railway.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: (Clockwise) A44 Evesham Road, Footpath WL-503 in White Ladies Aston parish, Footpaths SE-521, SE-522, Bridleway SE-515 in Spetchley parish and vice versa.

The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months continuing on from 4 February 2025.

(Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2025

(Prohibition of Waiting on A38 Bath Road, Worcester)

Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following length and side of road in Worcester:

A38 Bath Road (West side): from a point 99 metres southeast of its junction with Stanley Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.

(Various Waiting Restrictions (Proposals and Revocations) on Barbourne Terrace, Worcester)

On 6 February 2025, Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester:

• Barbourne Terrace (South East side): From its junction with A38 Tything/Barbourne Road for a distance of 103 metres in a south westerly direction.

• Revocation of Restriction of Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm

  From its junction with A38 Tything/Barbourne Road for a distance of 98 metres in a south westerly direction.

• Revocation of Limited Waiting 45 mins No Return Within 2 Hours Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm Except Permit Holders

  From a point 98 metres south west of its junction with A38 Tything/Barbourne Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 27 February 2025.
