Peel Centre Access - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow Excavation for Joint Bay
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
PEEL CENTRE ACCESS, RISHTON, HUNDBURN BOROUGH (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Peel Centre Access, Rishton from its junction with Whitebirk Drive for a distance of 67 metres in a north easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 08:00 hours on Monday 17th March 2025 to 17:00 hours on Wednesday 26th March 2025 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. Vehicular access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. No diversion is required due to a no through road.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow excavation for joint bay with approximately 150 metres of track to install and joint cable for caballing works undertaken by Network Plus Authority given for this Order to be made: [Ref: HRiT/55948/JW/]
