Mancunian Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC141415224: The City of Manchester (Mancunian Way, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mancunian Way for its full length. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed locally for the side of the carriageway that is closed on each shift. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd March 2025 to 28th March 2025 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on each shift. Eastbound closures between 3rd and 14th March 2025 and Westbound closures between 17th and 28th March 2025. The order shall come into operation on 3rd March 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
