Habergham Eaves - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP1206008 & FP1206007 HABERGHAM EAVES, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 03 March 2025, remaining in force until the 03 March 2026, or until the works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over that length of the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Public Footpath FP1206008 Habergham Eaves, Burnley, from Point B (SD 8269 – 3094) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 100 metres to Point C (SD 8261 – 3056). Then continuing along Public Footpath FP1206007 Habergham Eaves, Burnley from Point C in a generally easterly direction for approximately 510 metres to Point D (SD 8283 – 3068).
The temporary closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
