West Park - Temporary Road Closure To Clear Blockages

What is happening?

Somerset Council

Parish of Castle Cary Temporary Closure of West Park

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along West Park - from 9 metres north of the junction with Victoria Gardens, northwards for a total distance of 83 metres. 

This Order will enable Gigaclear to clear blockages on behalf of Avonline.

The Order becomes effective on 6th March 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. 

The works are expected to commence on 12th March 2025 and last until 14th March 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days. 

There is no alternative route for this closure.
