Tilburstow Hill Road (D395) Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilburstow Hill Road (D395) Godstone which extends from the “Godstone Farm Car Park” for 100m in a northwards direction.

Alternative Route – Tilburstow Hill Road (D395), Eastbourne Road (B2236), The Enterdent (D394) and Tilburstow Hill Road (D395) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out replacing three decayed telegraph poles, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 February 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


East Grinstead Road (C88) Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Grinstead Road (C88) Lingfield which extends from its junction with Drivers Mead (D469) to the southwestern property access road to “Jacksbridge Farm”.

Alternative Route – East Grinstead Road (C88), Plaistow Street (B2028), Newchapel Road (B2028), Eastbourne Road (A22), Woodcock Hill (A22), London Road (A22), Lingfield Road (C88), Felcourt Road (C88) and East Grinstead Road (C88) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out pole testing works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Church Lane (C72) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 14 February 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Lane (C72) Godstone as extends from its junction with Eastbourne Road (B2236) to a point 80 metres north of this junction.

Alternative Route – Eastbourne Road (B2236), Godstone By-Pass (A22), Oxted Road (A25) and Church Lane, or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Surrey County Council to facilitate bridge strengthening and all associated works which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 


Nutfield Road (C67) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 14 February 2025, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Nutfield Road (C67) Merstham as it extends from its junction with Bletchingley Road (C69) to its junction with Battlebridge Lane (C225). 

Alternative Route: Bletchingley Road, Pendell Road, Little Common Lane, A25 (Castle Street and Bletchingly Road), Church Hill and Nutfield Marsh Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to carry out footway slurry works, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, access to the houses within the closure, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.


D1431 Crescent Road, Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1431 Crescent Road, Caterham that extends from its junction with B2030 Godstone Road, to the southern side of its junction with D1431 Timber Hill Road. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out excavations and/or installations and/or connections and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route:- Crescent Road, Timber Hill Road, Godstone Road and Crescent Road.


D335 Lodge Lane, Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D335 Lodge Lane, Salfords. 

This Traffic Order is required by TrafficSmithsltd to enable Mill Floodgates Farm to carry out essential tree cutting and/or cabling and/or maintenance work on low voltage overhead power lines in D335 Lodge Lane, Salfords between the junction with D334 Lonesome Lane and the junction with D551 Montfort Rise.

These works are anticipated to be carried out in between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route:- Anticlockwise – Brighton Road, Woodhatch Road, Dovers Green Road and Lonesome Lane.

Clockwise – Lonesome Lane, Dovers Green Road, Woodhatch Road, Brighton Road, Salbrook Road and Bonehurst Road.


Church Road (D2536) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D2536) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D265) Lower Road to its junction with (D2634) Post House Lane. 

Alternative Route: Lower Road, Little Bookham Street, and Church Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate maintenance works within the carriageway for, or on behalf of TSE Group. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.


Vincent Road (D2866) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Vincent Road (D2866) Dorking. 

Alternative Route: (1) (A25) South Street, and (A25) Vincent Lane, (2) (A25) Vincent Lane, (A25) West Street, and (A25) South Street. This Order is required to facilitate telecom maintenance works for, or on behalf of TSE Group. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.


Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield as extends from its junction with (C67) Redehall Road to its junction with (D362) Church Road. 

Alternative Route: Broadbridge Lane, Weatherhill Road, and Redehall Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Stan Hill (C61) and Norwood Hill (D330) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Stan Hill (C61) Charlwood as extends from its junction with (D330) Norwood Hill and for a distance of 75 metres either side; and (b) that length of Norwood Hill (D330) Charlwood as extends from its junction with (C61) Stan Hill and for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction. 

Alternative Route: Stan Hill, Norwood Hill Road, Smalls Hill Road, Tapners Road, Bunce Common Road, Newdigate Road, Clayhill Road, Broad Lane, Partridge Lane, Blanks Lane, and Stan Hill, or this route in reverse. 

The Order is required to allow new drainage asset installation works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 months, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Weekdays Only within the 18-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 03 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for resident, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency services, will be required to follow the diversion route. 

During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.


Chapel Lane (D2813) Westhumble
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chapel Lane (D2813) Westhumble as extends from the entrance to the property known as “Old Dene” to a point 105 metres west. 

Alternative Route: Chapel Lane, Ranmore Common Road, Critten Lane, Beech Avenue, A246 Guildford Road, Leatherhead Road, Dorking Road and Chapel Lane, or the same route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable Road Traffic Management Ltd to facilitate telegraph pole replacement works and/or other associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead which extends from its junction with Reigate Road (B2033) to its junction with By-Pass Road (A24).

Alternative Route – Reigate Road (B2033) and By-Pass Road (A24) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “13 Wood Lane” to the northwestern property boundary line of “27 Wood Lane”.

Alternative Route – Wood Lane (D1426), Birch Avenue (D1426), Heath Road (D1426) and Wood Lane (D1426) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Withey Meadows (D586) Hookwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Withey Meadows (D586) Hookwood which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “35 Withey Meadows” to the southwestern property boundary line of “45 Withey Meadows”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out electrical works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Various Roads in Mole Valley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

On 19 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to facilitate S278 works, including but not limited to: installation of new footpath, resurfacing, and road widening maintenance works for, or on behalf of Lenmark Construction Ltd. 

These works will be carried out in two phases, first phase is anticipated to be carried out over 7 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, and the second phase is anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. 

No sole access will be affected by these closures.

(a) That length of Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with (D315) Lee Green Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust Headley Court”. Alternative Route: (C55) Clay Lane, (C56) Clay Lane, Church Lane, (B2033) Tot Hill, (B2033) Leech Lane, (B2033) Mill Way, (B2033) Reigate Road, (A24) By-Pass Road, and Headley Road, or this route in reverse.

(b) The entire length of Clay Lane (C55) Leatherhead. Alternative Route: (C56) Clay Lane, Church Lane, (B2033) Tot Hill, (B2033) Leech Lane, (B2033) Mill Way, (B2033) Reigate Road, (A24) By-Pass Road, and Headley Road, or this route in reverse.

(c) The entire length of Lee Green Lane (D315) Leatherhead. Alternative Route: Tilley Lane, and Clay Lane, or this route in reverse.

(d) The entire length of Slough Lane (D314) Leatherhead. Alternative Route: Church Lane, (B2033) Tot Hill, Tot Hill Lane, and Tumber Street, or this route in reverse.


Old Road (D309) Buckland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Road (D309) Buckland as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Old Way House” to its junction with the access to th property known as “Spindrift”. 

Alternative Route: Old Road (Buckland), Old Road (Betchworth), Old Reigate Road, Station Road, (A25) Reigate Road, and Old Road (Buckland), or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate telecom overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.


Woodfield Lane (D2613), Woodfield Lane (D2568), and Overdale (D2519) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Woodfield Lane (D2613) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2507) Craddocks Avenue to its junction with (D2519) Overdale; (b) Woodfield Lane (D2568) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2519) Overdale and for a distance of 100 metres in a westerly direction; (c) Overdale (D2519) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2613) Woodfield Lane to its junction with (D2579) Broadhurst; (d) Woodfield Lane (D2613) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2641) St Stephens Avenue to its junction with (D2519) Overdale. 

This Order is required to facilitate maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 1am and 5.30am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, apart from residents who are north of the level crossing, they will be directed and accompanied through the works area by the marshalls on site. 

No sole access will be affected by this closure. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14 (1) & (2) Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a bridge in disrepair. 

The Order came into operation on 30 May 2024. It was due to expire on 31 July 2024, but was continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 28 February 2025. 

It has now been extended for the second time until 28 February 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 337 (Charlwood) which extends for 820 metres in an easterly and then south-easterly direction from its junction with Norwoodhill Road (Grid ref: 524687 142906) to its junction with Public Footpath 339 (Charlwood).

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no recommended alternative route.
