Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road/Waltham Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from the junction with Beadle Way to the junction with Cranham Road a distance of approximately 5210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377712/EP201EH2381880 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Cranham Road, Domsey Lane, Wheelers Hill, Wheelers Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Sheepcotes Roundabout, Braintree Road, Strawbrook Hill, Great Leighs Bypass, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout South, Main Road, Boreham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Ingatestone in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 395m north east then south east of its junction with Orton Close for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD00263306039/2 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pump repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, London Hill, Margaretting Road, Stock Road, Galleywood Road, Wood Street, Wood Street Roundabout, London Road, Writtle Bypass Roundabout, Greenbury Way, Margaretting Road Roundabout, Margaretting Road, Writtle Road, Wantz Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Belsteads Farm Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Belsteads Farm Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Domsey Lane to its junction with Sunningdale Lane a distance of approximately 160m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2379108 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Pratts Farm Lane, Pratts Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Channels Drive Roundabout, Channels Drive, Albatross Way, Belsteads Farm Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Holybread Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holybread Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 25m south west of its junction with Rysley for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013322957 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Holybread Lane, North Hill, Colam Lane and vice versa.

(Leighs Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Leighs Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 110m north east of its junction with Wheelers Hill for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th March 2025 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013323794 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Leighs Road, Boreham Road, Drakes Lane, Wheelers Hill and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Old Wickford Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Wickford Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 15m south west of its junction with Fennfields Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004205 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Hanningfield Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Giffords Lane to its junction with Warren Lane a distance of approximately 805m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373289 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while verge maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Wheelers Hill, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wheelers Hill, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m east of its junction with Wheelers Farm Roundabout for a distance of approximately 125m in an easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFRK079M – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
