What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF

(PART), MAIDENHEAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along parts of Belmont Road and Spencers Road, Maidenhead in three phases:
Phase 1. – that part of Belmont Road from its junction with College Avenue to its junction with Hargrave Road;
Phase 2. – that part of Belmont Road from its junction with Hargrave Road to its junction with Archer Close;
Phase 3. – that part of Belmont Road from its junction with Archer Close to its junction with Spencers Road and along Spencers Road for its entire length.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the proposed Order for:
Phase 1 is via Belmont Road, Belmont Park Avenue, Linden Avenue and A308 Gringer Hill.
Phase 2 and Phase 3 the diversion is via Belmont Road, Spencers Road, All Saints Avenue, Courthouse Road, Linden Avenue, A308 Gringer Hill and Belmont Road.
The purpose of the Order is to facilitate works on the said road, namely gas mains replacement and therefore there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
The Order will come into operation from 00:01 hours on Monday 24 February and shall continue in force until 23:59 hours on Friday 9 May 2025.
The restriction shall apply when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
