Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Banbury A361, Wardington Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 17 February 2025
Coming into force: 24 February 2025
This Order is being introduced because of carriageway surfacing works which are anticipated to be completed 3 March 2025 operating between 19:30 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in that part of the A361 from the M40 (junction 11) to junction with the Banbury Road to Chacombe. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A361, A45, A425, A423, A461 and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14986/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 17 February 2025
Coming into force: 24 February 2025
This Order is being introduced because of carriageway surfacing works which is anticipated to be complete 3 March 2025 operating between 19:30 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in that part of the A422 from the M40 (junction 11) to the roundabout junction with the B4525. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A422, A43, M40 and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. ( Ref: T14986/AC )

Chipping Norton, Banbury Road Crossing
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 17 February 2025
Coming into force: 24 February 2025
This Order is being introduced because of water main installation works which are anticipated to be completed on 7 March 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Banbury Road Crossing between London Road and Banbury Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the locally signed diversion route.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14976/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Speed Order
Banbury, M40 junction 11 – 10 mph Speed Limit
Date of Order: 17 February 2025
Coming into force: 24 February 2025
This Order is being introduced to enable worker protection using convoy traffic management during carriageway surfacing works which is anticipated to be completed 3 March 2025 operating between 19:30 and 06:00 hrs.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily restrict speeds to 10 mph around the M40 junction and joining sections of the A361 & A422. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2024 which create higher speed limits will be suspended for the duration of the works. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14986/AC)
