C4 Shoresdean Junction to Thornton Park - Temporary Road Closure

C4 SHORESDEAN JUNCTION
TO THORNTON PARK JUNCTION THORNTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C4 Shoresdean Junction to Thornton Park Junction from its junction with Shoreswood Loan heading northwards for a distance of 371 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 12th March 2025 until the 17th March 2025. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th March 2025 until the 13th March 2025 between the hours of 08:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 17th March 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A698, C8, B6354, U13, C4 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Dutton Traffic Management to carry out overhead pole repairs. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
