C23 County Boundary to East Learmouth - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
C23 COUNTY BOUNDARY TO EAST LEARMOUTH BRANXTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C23 County Boundary to East Learmouth Branxton from outside the gable end of number 1 Stanley Court heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 122 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 25th February 2025 until the 13th March 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 25th February 2025 until the 26th February 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th March 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C23, C22, A697 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to carry out internal chamber work on weir wall. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
